What this PO generator creates
The generator produces a formatted purchase order with buyer, supplier, ship-to, payment terms, required delivery date, item rows, SKU fields, pack size, quantity, unit price, shipping, tax, totals, substitution policy, and supplier confirmation notes. It is built for operators who need a clean PO PDF without opening a spreadsheet template or buying software before they are ready.
When a free PO template stops being enough
A single printable purchase order works when the buyer already knows exactly what to order. Teams usually outgrow templates when they need replenishment quantities from inventory signals, supplier-specific order routing, approval history, supplier reply tracking, receiving records, and accounting handoff from the same procurement loop.
Purchase order workflow after the PDF
Use the free generator when you need one clean document. Use purchase order software when POs need to be created from inventory demand, routed to suppliers, tracked through confirmation, received against actual shipments, and prepared for accounting without rebuilding the same fields by hand.
If the problem is reorder math, start with the PAR level calculator. If the problem is supplier follow-up, see PO status tracking. If the problem is deciding quantities from sales and stock signals, see AI order quantities.
Generating one PO at a time is fine. Generating fifty per week from real consumption data, sending them through email/WhatsApp/EDI, and having AI parse the supplier replies is what LineNow does. Free for 90 days, $100/month after.
